The Senior Activity Center has formed strong partnerships with many community organizations. These organizations help further the mission of the Senior Activity Center by providing valuable services and resources to our members and the senior community.

Call A Ride and Senior Support

Call A Ride of Southlake (CARS)

CARS is a not for profit 501(c)(3) corporation whose purpose is to provide free, non-emergency transportation to Southlake seniors and disabled adult citizens for medical, dental, social, business, shopping and personal needs. The organization provides daily rides to and from the Senior Activity Center as requested.

Metroport Meals On Wheels (MMOW)

MMOW is a nonprofit organization which organizes volunteers to deliver hot lunches to homes of individuals who are elderly, frail, chronically ill or homebound. The organization provides lunch to Senior Activity Center members every Monday.
Seniors and DPS Support

Southlake Fire Department and Southlake Police Department

The Southlake Fire and Police Departments offer a number of public education programs designed to inform and engage the public. The City’s Public Education Team coordinates several health and safety programs at the Senior Activity Center including blood pressure checks, crime prevention tips, heart attack and stroke education and injury prevention among other topics.
Library Education and Senior Support

Southlake Public Library

The Southlake Public Library provides many services to the community to promote continued learning as well as access to information and resources. The Library offers a variety of materials geared towards the senior community including large print books, audio books, e-books and DVDs. The Library also runs a virtual branch at the Senior Activity Center so members can conveniently drop off and pick up requested materials and get a Library card.
SSFI and Senior Support

Southlake Senior Funding Inc. (SSFI)

SSFI is a not for profit 501(c)(3) corporation whose mission is to improve the quality of life, independence, dignity and mental/physical health of the senior community of Southlake and surrounding cities. SSFI financially supports many of the Senior Activity Center’s programs, events and trips.

Volunteer Southlake

Volunteer Southlake strives to provide meaningful service opportunities that promote individual growth, build strong relationships, and enhance the community we live in. Volunteer Southlake helps promote volunteer opportunities at the Senior Activity Center, as well as placing interested senior members in suitable volunteer spots throughout the City.
