The Senior Activity Center has formed strong partnerships with many community organizations. These organizations help further the mission of the Senior Activity Center by providing valuable services and resources to our members and the senior community.
Below is a list of the community partners who help enhance service opportunities for our members:
Call A Ride of Southlake (CARS)
CARS is a not for profit 501(c)(3) corporation whose purpose is to provide free, non-emergency transportation to Southlake seniors and disabled adult citizens for medical, dental, social, business, shopping and personal needs. The organization provides daily rides to and from the Senior Activity Center as requested.Metroport Meals On Wheels (MMOW)
MMOW is a nonprofit organization which organizes volunteers to deliver hot lunches to homes of individuals who are elderly, frail, chronically ill or homebound. The organization provides lunch to Senior Activity Center members every Monday.Southlake Fire Department and Southlake Police Department
The Southlake Fire and Police Departments offer a number of public education programs designed to inform and engage the public. The City’s Public Education Team coordinates several health and safety programs at the Senior Activity Center including blood pressure checks, crime prevention tips, heart attack and stroke education and injury prevention among other topics.Southlake Senior Funding Inc. (SSFI)
SSFI is a not for profit 501(c)(3) corporation whose mission is to improve the quality of life, independence, dignity and mental/physical health of the senior community of Southlake and surrounding cities. SSFI financially supports many of the Senior Activity Center’s programs, events and trips.
