Adult Outdoor Education
Gardens are good for our health! Research shows they can calm, heal, and strengthen us. Given the need for healing in our world right now, how can we shape our gardens to increase this healing power? During this class with Betsy Marsh, Conservation Education Coordinator for Tarrant Regional Water District, you’ll have an opportunity to walk through the beautiful gardens at BJNCP, learn about specific plants and garden features that can promote health and well-being, and discuss new pathways to health in your own home garden. This class will be entirely or almost entirely outside so please dress for the weather and bring a water bottle. In case of rain we will be meeting inside.
Join local photography expert, Bruce Rosenstiel, to learn about wildlife photography! This class will touch on the basics of photographing nature while focusing on pollinators in the garden. Topics will include equipment, the basics of shooting, general tips and tricks, and more! Feel free to bring your own camera with you.
