Cross Timber Nature Club (after school) and Cross Timbers Nature Camp (spring break and summer) are the two largest Youth Nature Programs at Bob Jones Nature Center and Preserve.
Cross Timbers Nature Club is an after school group for young naturalist and outdoor enthusiasts. We meet once a month from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Bob Jones Nature Center and Preserve (BJNCP) to explore the trails, study local wildlife, and learn how we can become stewards of the land. Join us for an afternoon of hiking, investigating, friendships, and more!
September 29 - Monarch Butterflies
This month we're in search of migrating monarchs! Join us as we search for butterflies and take a glance into a bug's life.
October 27 - Bats
We're on the prowl for bats! Bats do so many wonderful things for our ecosystem. Hopefully we'll even spot a few by the end of our hike!
November 17 - Wild Turkeys
Bob Jones Nature Center and Preserve is home to many wild turkeys. Turkeys are great at camouflaging, but with the right clues (and some luck) we hope to track some on this hike!
December 15 - Insects
This month we're buggin' out! Join us as we search for insects and take a glance into a bug's life.
